I am a multi-media maker/designer.

I have been making hand-built ceramics for more than 20 years. During
this time, I have experimented with watercolour, pastels, acrylics, fabric,
paper, and other mixed media, but clay has always remained my forte.

I make one-off, hand-built ceramics by coiling, pinching, pressing or
using slabs mainly from stoneware clays and finish them with metal
oxides.

I live and work in Bristol, and I am a member of the
Clifton Arts Club,
and
Bristol Potters.

Texture and earthy, muted tones in eroded surfaces, natural objects,
shells, stones, leaves, and bones fascinate me. I am not so much
interested in functionality: my work is an exploration of shape and
texture.
